Qualifications

  • MBBS — Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.

Why I built this

Corrected age is the most repeated calculation in preterm follow-up and one of the most frequently botched. I have watched parents leave a clinic convinced their baby is delayed because a relative read them a milestone chart indexed to the wrong age, and I have seen the opposite — a genuine delay dismissed for two years because “he was a preemie.”

Both errors come from the same missing tool: something that does the arithmetic once and then carries it through to every downstream judgement, and that remembers what happened at the last visit. That tool did not exist, so I built it.

Editorial policy

  • Every clinical statement traces to a named primary source listed on the methodology page.
  • Pages carry a visible last-reviewed date. Content is reviewed at least annually and immediately when a source guideline changes.
  • Uncertainty is stated as uncertainty. Where two respected sources disagree — Fenton versus INTERGROWTH-21st, for example — both are shown and the disagreement is explained rather than hidden behind a single number.
  • What the site collects — which is very little — is set out on the privacy page.
  • No result on this site is ever framed as reassurance. The tool does not tell you your child is fine, because it cannot know that.

Contact

If you have found an error, own a source we should be citing, or need to reach the author, email [CONTACT EMAIL]. The identity card at drzeeshanislam.blog and the LinkedIn profile list the same verified accounts.

Please do not send medical questions here. This is not a consultation channel and nothing sent to it creates a doctor–patient relationship; for anything about your own baby, contact the clinician who can examine them.

Corrections log

Substantive changes to published pages are dated and listed here, and corrections are never silently edited in. Editorial additions that add a source without changing the guidance are recorded as such.

  • 2026-09-28 — Added named outbound sources and citation schema across the methodology, vaccines, late preterm, solids, age-comparison and privacy pages; shortened page titles and meta descriptions that were truncating in search results; and removed the vaccine heading from the late preterm page so the preemie vaccines guide is the single answer for vaccine timing. No clinical guidance changed, and physician review dates were left as they were pending re-review.
  • 2026-08-27 — Long-tail pages first published: late preterm baby, NICU follow-up schedule, starting solids, and adjusted age vs chronological age, each with canonical URLs and physician review wiring. New pages rather than corrections.
  • 2026-08-26 — PMA calculator, preemie weight gain and preemie vaccines pages published as part of the long-tail cluster, with the identity card and share cards wired in. New pages rather than corrections.
  • No clinical correction has been required since launch. If a guideline cited on this site changes, the affected page is re-reviewed and the change is recorded above.

Identity card and elsewhere

My public identity card at drzeeshanislam.blog carries my verified accounts and current bio. Treat it as the canonical pointer to who writes and reviews this site.

Disclosure: AdjustedAge is editorially independent of that practice. DrZeeWrites works with healthcare and health-tech clients, but no client content, placement or sponsorship reaches this tool, and the practice has no editorial role in it. The funding statement below applies to AdjustedAge alone.

Funding and conflicts of interest

AdjustedAge is self-funded. It takes no sponsorship from infant formula manufacturers, infant nutrition companies or pharmaceutical companies, and it will not. Several of the highest-ranking pages parents currently find when searching for preterm growth and milestone guidance are published by formula manufacturers; that is a conflict of interest in child-health advice, and refusing it is a deliberate position rather than an oversight.

There are no advertisements, no tracking pixels, no accounts and no data collection. What you type stays in your browser.

Scope and limits of this site

This is an educational and calculation tool. It is not a consultation, it does not create a doctor–patient relationship, and it cannot replace assessment by the clinician who can actually examine your child. If you are worried about your baby, contact your paediatrician today — do not wait for the next visit.
